What do you grow and sell?
Lettuce Ladies grows and sells pesticide-free hydroponic microgreens and leafy greens. Our leafy green selection includes lettuce varieties like Buttercrunch, Romaine and Sweetcrisp. We also offer Black Magic Kale, Blue Scotch Kale, and Bok Choy. Our microgreen selection is extensive and can be reviewed in the Shop.
What are microgreens?
Microgreens are the baby version of their respective plants. Microgreens grow quick quickly and are full of nutrients. A study by the Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistry found that microgreens have four to six times more nutrients than their adult counterparts.
How can I use microgreens?
Microgreens are incredibly versatile and can enhance a wide variety of dishes. Tender varieties like kale and arugula work well in sandwiches, salads, and wraps thanks to their delicate texture. Heartier microgreens, such as sunflower shoots or pea shoots, add crunch and are great in salads, stirred into soups, or finely chopped into proteins like ground meat or tofu for added nutrition and texture.
Where can I purchase your products?
Currently, we provide produce at a number of markets including several Giant Eagle stores and Fresh Thyme Markets. You can also find us at the Sewickley and Bethel Park Farmer's Markets.
