What do you grow and sell?
Lettuce Ladies grows and sells pesticide-free hydroponic greens. More specifically, we have a number of different types of lettuces and microgreens. Our lettuces range from Buttercrunch, Sweetcrisp, and Oakleaf. We also provide Black Magic Kale, Bok Choy, and Swiss Chard.
As for our microgreens, the list is extensive. Just to name a few, we cultivate Basil, Kale, Broccoli, Beet, Cilantro, and many more.
What exactly are Microgreens?
Microgreens are the baby version of their respective plants. Microgreens grow quicker than their mature counterparts and are chock-full of nutrients.
A 2012 study by the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry states that microgreens have four to six times more nutrients than their adult versions.
Popular ways to use microgreens include:
* Toss in a salad for a burst of color and flavor
* Blend into a smoothie for extra health benefits
* Top your favorite pasta, soup, or pizza
* Use as a base for a quick, easy salad
* Add to a sandwich for crunch
* Mix into an omelet or scrambled eggs
* Top grilled fish and meat for a flavorful meal
Why are all your pictures so pink?
Lighting! Our vertical farm is located indoors and we use UV lighting to keep the plants growing, even in the dead of winter. This means that some of the lights make our grow rooms a little on the pink side.
Where can I purchase your produce?
Currently, Lettuce Ladies provides produce at a number of markets which include several Giant Eagle stores, Fresh Thymes stores, Farmers Markets, and more. A more complete list of where you can find our produce will be posted soon.

How do I order online for an at-home delivery?
If you live within Sewickley or Ambridge, you can now order produce right here on our website. Just click on the Shop button and browse through our selection of lettuce and microgreens.
What are the at-home delivery fees?
We are a small, locally-owned business. In order to account for gas and time, we just ask for two things: Minimum order of $20 and a $8.95 delivery fee.
The delivery fee helps keep this operation going while also offering our Sewickley and Ambridge customers a reusable branded cooler bag!
How often do at-home deliveries go out?
Every other Wednesday! Orders end the Monday before Wednesday deliveries. Orders placed after that will be delivered the following delivery date.
